About the Artist

Joanne studied Fashion at both George Brown College and Seneca College in Toronto. She first started designing and making jewellery and accessories several years ago to accentuate outfits she had made. Joanne has been employed as a Fashion Consultant, Seamstress, and Product Developer before she established JET. Designs to pursue her passion of creating jewellery and accessories.

About JET. Designs
JET. Designs' jewellery and accessories are individually designed and crafted at Joanne's studio in Toronto. Joanne has taken jewellery classes to refine her skills specifically relating to wire work, art clay silver, glass bead making, and glass fusing. She has expanded on the techniques learned, developing them into the beautiful pieces you see today. She frequently experiments with different materials, texture, colour, symmetry, and technique to create distinctive pieces. Joanne's designs are greatly inspired by nature, textiles, and architecture. Many of JET. Designs' pieces incorporate wirework and has allowed Joanne to create designs that are free-formed by using a combination of techniques such as wire-wrapping, coiling, and hammering. She is personally involved with every element of producing each product, making every piece a unique addition to the collection.
